A dating blog about bunnies, eggs and Gloria Steinem.

As a copywriter, the months leading up to Easter are spent creating ads that target children. As such, with the exception of much-loved breaks I get from crafting dating profiles, I’ve been immersed in bunnies and eggs – not to mention more pastel than anyone outside of a nursery should have to see.

So, to achieve a comfortable balance, I’ve written a dating blog with my own unique take on the Easter.  As with all my dating blogs, you don’t have to be single to enjoy them so welcome all.

The up and downs of being a Playboy Bunny.

I searched everything “benefits of being a Playboy Bunny” to the “beauty of being a Playboy Bunny”, but I didn’t find a wealth of articles about these happily hopping ladies.

What’s up with that, silly rabbits? (Total non sequitur but I was compelled).

Nevertheless, I found a compelling article about Sharon Berstein Peyton who worked as a Playboy Bunny in 1964. It’s a glimpse at a fascinating era.

Interesting fact…

Gloria Steinem, the most powerful feminist of our time, was a Playboy Bunny. She was writing an expose on what it’s like to walk around half-naked wearing floppy ears and a fuzzy tail while serving drinks – after being tested for venereal disease, of course.

The word “feminist” can conjure up images of angry women. This saddens me. Women’s rights are human rights. When rights aren’t upheld outrage is appropriate.  Read this article on Playboy Bunnies and you too might be angered by how well-decorated degradation was (and, still can be).

Celebrities and in Vitro Fertilization

No Easter blog would be complete without a mention of eggs and since this blog happens to be directed at men and women, well…

If finding your soulmate is taking a tad more time than expected, then IVF is a viable choice and one made famous by none other than, well, famous people. Did you know that Joan Lunden, formerly the anchor on Good Morning America, as well as former supermodel, Cheryl Tiegs, gave birth at 52 years old? This article about Hollywood Moms delivers good news for those considering the option.

Now here’s a treat worth sharing.

Here’s a really eye-catching television ad that my own treasure hunt yielded. I don’t want to say what it is because I don’t want to ruin the punch line.

This ad makes the benefit of the product very clear. All good ads do. So do all good online dating profiles. By “offer” I mean that your dating profile needs to clearly demonstrate who you are and how great life would be with you in it. The way to do this is by sharing fun anecdotes (these give a visual glimpse of you in situ), as well as your quirks. The more clear you are about who you are, the more likely you are to attract someone who’s looking for that.

Treat yourself.

Even though finding love is a priority for countless singles, many don’t invest in the very things that will help them in their quest. If you’re looking for love online, then a great online dating profile is imperative given all the competition out there.  So treat yourself to the best possible online dating profile you can have by hiring me. As an ad writer, no one is better trained to make singles dating online stand out from the competition.

Check out my samples of online dating profilesand LinkedIn profiles, and see for yourself. Better still, get started with the personality quiz. It’s the first step to a great online dating profile. The second is to hire me. Also, if you like what you’ve read, then please join me on Twitter and  Facebook page.
